Take Action for America's Gray Wolves - Deadline July 15, 2019!

On March 15, 2019 the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) officially proposed removing federal Endangered Species Act protections for gray wolves across the entire lower 48 states, a plan that would put the future of the gray wolf and its proven benefits to ecosystems at serious risk.

The proposed rule removes federal Endangered Species Act protections for all gray wolves in the contiguous United States except for the population of critically endangered Mexican gray wolves in Arizona and New Mexico, where only about 114 remain. This rule would threaten and remove protections for gray wolves, like Echo, a female gray wolf who dispersed to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in 2014. Other wolves moving into to suitable habitat in places like Utah and Colorado will also lose protections if this rule is approved.
